Four years ago, when Adine Moser, 69, and her husband, Bob, were considering changing medical providers, they knew they wanted a physician who would listen, ask questions and most importantly, have available and convenient scheduling. Following in her parents’ footsteps, Moser made the decision to contact Wellstone Health Partners, and from that day forward, entrusted the care of herself and her husband to board-certified family medicine physician, Dave Webster, DO.
“My mom has been going to Dr. Webster for years, and up until my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, he saw Dr. Webster, too,” said Moser. “When I would go with my parents to their appointments and listen to him talk about how important they were to him, I knew he was a great man. Dr. Webster treats everyone like family.”
Just like family, when Moser, her mom and siblings needed to make some tough decisions on her father’s care, Dr. Webster and his team were there.
“A little over a year ago, the time had come to discuss long-term memory care for my dad, as my mom’s health was declining from taking care of him,” said Moser. “Dr. Webster arranged a meeting for my family, which included all four of my siblings, to help us understand next steps for our dad. He spent at least an hour answering every question we had, and to ensure our mom could be part of the discussion, Karin, his office manager, spent time with our dad in a different room. It was amazing and really helped our family get on the same page at the same time.”
Beyond this experience, Moser has found that no matter the scenario, Dr. Webster and his team consistently make time to be available for their patients when they need them most.
“One weekend, I developed a bladder infection, and when I wasn’t feeling better by Sunday, I knew I needed to see Dr. Webster,” said Moser. “I went online to make an appointment, but there was nothing available for Monday. I sent a message through MyChart and on Monday morning, I got a call from Dr. Webster’s office asking if I could be there by 1 p.m. Without hesitation, I said yes.”
Moser added with confidence that if ever needing a same day appointment throughout the week, she knows Dr. Webster and his team will do everything possible to make her care a priority.
“Dr. Webster makes everything feel that if it’s important to you, then it’s important to him,” said Moser. “Additionally, he has such a great way of relating to others. My husband, for example, was a chopper pilot in Vietnam, and Dr. Webster was a flight surgeon. Through just a few conversations, they’ve determined that they might have actually served together at the same time. This comradery of fellow soldiers goes a long way and has made my husband comfortable enough to make Dr. Webster his preferred provider.”
At the end of the day, Moser’s satisfaction with Dr. Webster boils down to his consistent level of personalized care, which includes his determination to make the most out of every visit.
“I know Dr. Webster is going to be there for me, and I know he knows my medical history,” said Moser. “Each visit, he always tries to figure out if anything else might be going on so he can address all of my health care needs at one time. He is very caring and just a really good guy who has been wonderful for me and my family.”
